Grassroots Activation!
When Minneapolis was violently invaded by masked federal agents, who murdered two people in broad daylight, Americans took to the streets IN SOLIDARITY in unprecedented numbers and are continuing to show up. This is how we win.
We won’t be ignored. We are part of a growing nonviolent grassroots movement that rejects their fascist worldview. We proclaim OUR hopes and dreams for a just America based on the rule of law and shared prosperity.
The Zeitgeist is shifting. The damage and turmoil created by this administration have exposed a political tipping point, a moment of danger, but also of possibility. What is true for the democracy crisis is also true for the climate crisis. We are facing critical tipping points and we must act now.
The world is poised to exceed the 1.5 C target set for limiting average global warming set a dozen years ago at the Paris Climate Talks.
Let’s leverage this moment of intersecting crises.
Hope is in our grassroots movement!
The time is now. The clean energy revolution is here; progressives are on the move: running for office, organizing mutual aid, raising money and holding officials accountable. Americans hate fascism and are standing up. We’re not going back to the “good old days…” We demand justice!
Find your place in the civil resistance movement… In the streets, in front of ICE offices, at the capitol, in city council meetings, on the medic team, in the choir, making sandwiches for organizers or writing postcards…

Get Out the Vote!

Picture
Can you believe it? Midterm elections are less than 9 months away! This may be the most important election in our lives.
If you want to help get out the vote by writing postcards to voters contact Debby at [email protected].
One person can't do everything. But we can each do something!

Thanks for writing!

Speaking of voting… Are you worried about voter suppression in the midterms? Maybe you have heard about this… Republicans Will Detonate Their Secret Weapon at the Midnight Hour to Stop Women from Voting. No matter what, it's always a good idea to check your voter registration. You can do that here!

Short Legislative Session Road Trip to Salem

Picture
Yes, we can lobby at the state legislature for strong climate policy, and we do!
On February 10th we joined Mobilizing for Climate Action Together (MCAT), an all volunteer Portland-based policy group affiliated with the Oregon League of Conservation Voters. We visited and spoke with our Eugene / Springfield area delegation about a number of climate / energy bills being considered this session. We’ll have a report soon….

Action Alerts

You can still sign up to receive action alerts for bills 350 Eugene has prioritized this year in the Oregon Legislature. We will send you the talking points and / or templates to send during public comment periods. Just send an email to [email protected] with “Sign Me Up for Action Alerts” in the subject line. The short session is over March 8th. Thank you.

The climate fight, even in this country, is very far from over. The basic premise of that battle is still clear and powerful: that we must act to move swiftly away from the moral and financial sinkhole of fossil fuels.
We are fighting for the future of our hopes and dreams.
Let’s be fierce.
P.S. You blew us away with our end-of-year fundraising! We are grateful for our generous and dedicated climate community!
